Class Descriptions:
Young Puppy Class - This is a class for puppies between the ages of 2 months and under 1 year old that will cover teaching basic obedience commands, by focusing on teaching the owner/handler to train the puppy using positive reinforcement training techniques. Some of the topics covered in this class, to help your puppy have a great start in life, include socialization, house training, crate training, and general health care. Obstacles, (tunnel, ladder, etc.) are frequently used in this class to build the puppy's confidence. This class will follow the AKC STAR. Puppy program. AKC STAR Puppy Title is optional.
Basic Obedience Class - This is a class for dogs 6 months and older that have not previously completed a formal training class, or for dogs that have completed other formal training but still need further conditioning. The Basic Obedience class is designed to teach the owner/handler to train the dog to be a good companion for years to come by using commands such as : sit, down, stay, come, and heel, among others. CGC testing is optional.
Trick Dog Class - This class is a great way to bond with your dog and provide your pet with mental and physical excercise. All dogs can learn tricks. Teaching your dog tricks is a great way to prevent boredom. AKC Trick Dog titles optional.
Scent Work Class - Scent Work is a dog sport that taps into a dogs powerful sense of smell, training them to find specific target odors. It provides excellent mental stimulation, improves focus, and is suitable for all dogs, regardless of age or physical ability.
